Class 2014

Brian plays linebacker for Oklahoma State University. He is a pre-med student majoring in Physiology.

Class 2011

Rufus was the "Thunder" in the "Thunder and Lightning Combination". Rufus was a team captain his senior year. He was selected to the 8-5A All-District Team, the Texas Sports Writers Association All-State Team and the AP All-State Team. Rufus attended Trinity Valley Community where he was the starting running back.

Class 2011

After graduating Dagan decided to play football for Austin College in Sherman Texas; a 4-year Liberal Arts College. Austin College is in the NCAA Division III, Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Class 2011

Christopher Merlene graduated from Marcus in 2011. Chris was on the Varsity team for his junior and senior year. In 2011 Christopher received the Chad Tinsley Award. He was also selected to play on Team U.S.A. where he played in the Team U.S.A. vs. The World football game in Austin, TX. Chris made first team 8-5A All-District and the Texas Sports Writers Association All State Team his senior year. Christopher attended Southern Arkansas University, majored in Education and played guard for the Muleriders football team.

Class 2010

Alex Parish graduated in 2010. He played football and basketball. Alex attended the University of Arkansas majoring in Pre-Med (Bio/Chemistry). Alex graduated with honors and while waiting for medical school to begin worked for a medical equipment company, based in Kansas City, where he traveled to various hospitals as a physician coach.

Class 2010

Rhett Butler graduated from Marcus in 2010. During his senior year he was a football captain, and was honored to receive the Chad Tinsley Award. Rhett enrolled in Baylor University in July 2010. He was a walk-on freshman for the Baylor Bears and was on the team for the Texas Bowl in Houston. In 2011 Rhett was a red-shirted freshman and played Tight End and H-Back. Rhett majored in Biology and received recognition for the following: 2010 Fall Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll, 2011 Spring Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll, and the 2011 Spring Baylor Dean's List.

Class 2009

Stephen graduated early in 2009. He was one of the team captains for the 2009 Varsity team and set the all time rushing record at Marcus. Stephen attended Michigan.

Class 2009

Keith Matheson, Offensive Lineman for Marcus graduated in 2009 and attended Emporia State University. During his senior year Keith made All-District.

Class 2009

Daniel graduated from Marcus in 2009. He was one of the team captains for the 2009 Varsity team. He attended the University of Oklahoma.

Class 2008

Ty Cloud attended the University of Houston and majored in Business. He was a red-shirted freshman and started on Special Teams. He was 2nd string Right Guard and worked hard to be a starting lineman. He was named to the Conference USA Commissioners Honor Roll. He is proud to be a Cougar!

Class 2008

Alex Finley was a receiver for the Marcus Marauders 2007 and 2008 Varsity teams. He served as a team captain in 2008 and went on to be a starting receiver for Harding University, an NCAA Division II University, in Searcy, Arkansas. Alex was a double major in Economics and Finance. As a Marauder, Alex developed a strong work ethic and deep commitment to coaches and teammates. Marcus High School prepared Alex well for college football and he still bleeds silver and red.

Class 2007

Mickey graduated from Marcus in 2007. He played baseball at Eastern Michigan for 2 years. He also attended Lyon College where he played baseball for two years.

Class 2006

Tyler played for the University of Richmond (Spiders) in Virginia. At 6'1"and 240 pounds, Tyler was red-shirted freshman. He was a starting outside linebacker his freshman year and went on to play inside linebacker as a 5th year senior. Tyler was part of the 2008 National Champion Team in the Division 1-AA Football Championship Subdivision.

Class 2005

Justin graduated from Marcus in 2005 where he played Safety for the 2002, 2003, and 2004 Varsity teams. In 2004, Justin was one of three captains and was awarded First Team All District, First Team All County, Honorable Mention All State, and Honorable Mention Academic All State.

After graduating from Marcus in 2005, Justin went to the University of Kansas where he graduated in 2009 with a major in Sports Management and a minor in Business. Justin worked for the Dallas Cowboys as a college scouting assistant and pursued a career in NFL scouting. Go Big Red!

Class 2004

After deciding not to play football his freshman year, Matt played on the Sophomore, Junior Varsity, and Varsity teams. Matt earned Honorable Mention in the district as a punter his senior season. Along with football Matt was a very accomplished Hurdler and competed at the Texas Relays and Regional Track Meet his junior year. A broken bone in his foot prohibited him from running his senior year!

After Marcus, Matt attended Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas and earned a degree in Biology while lettering 4 years. Matt earned Honorable Mention All Conference Kicker his senior year. Matt went on to become a very respected Wide Receiver in the Arena Football League playing for the Dallas Vigilantes (formerly known as the Desperados) and was a captain in his 3rd season. During the off season Matt was a substitute teacher for the L.I.S.D. and worked out at Lifetime Fitness.
